Purchased item comes with free PDF download

Not so fast!

Electronic downloads automatically bypass the shipping page during checkout. So my question is, how do I offer a product (in this case, a hard copy DVD video) and a electronic PDF to accompany it.

Initially, I set up the item for sale with an electronic download as an attribute - but this overrides the shipping of the actual product.

Thanks

What are the options associated withshipping for the product? And it being virtual? Also is there a weight or anything that is identifying the product as having free shipping?

The regular product has a shipping weight, and is marked to charge for shipping.

The electronic download is an attribute - electronic downloads bypass the shipping page. It's the way Zen Cart is designed.

But if you put those two together, there's no shipping options and it becomes free shipping.

On the Product is the setting:

Always Free Shipping: Special, Product/Download Combo Requires a Shipping Address

This should allow for both the Physical Product as well as the Download on it ...

Whoa! Where'd that come from?

I see it, let me give that one a try.

Thanks ajeh, long day already and couldn't remember the actual setting until I went and looked at a product page copying the above text...
