Shipping and Tax cost not showing in Admin

I am working with Zencart 154 and the shipping and tax costs are not showing in Admin. once the order is submitted. (this is a test site)

The costs do show up when placing the order and also when I get a copy of the emailed order.

Mods that I installed are;
how_did_you_hear_about_us_v150
reviews_updated
ceon_manual_card_4.0.1_for_zc
IntegratedCOWOA_2.4
ty_package_tracker_v_3-1-3

I am sure I installed something incorrectly in a file but I don't know what file to start looking in.
Any Ideas?

Start with the file that loads the page you are looking at in admin, look in the address bar:

http://your_domain_name.com/YOUR_ADMIN/orders.php

Although a few files 'build' the display, the first one to look at would be admin/orders.php

I checked that file and the only thing that I added was from the mod, how_did_you_hear_about_us_v150

Could this have anything to do with the problem? I am not very well versed in coding.

I deleted the item from the orders file and found that it was not the problem.

Any other ideas?

If you go to phpMyAdmin, and search the orders_total table for the orders_id that isn't showing the shipping and tax costs, on the records that come up, what shows in the field for class?

Not quit sure I follow you but under the class column in the tax row I have:

I don't know what you mean by your first question. This is a test site if that matters.

If you login with a test customer account to your store and place an order, are these still missing?

If you look in your /logs directory on the server, do you see an recent debug logs?

If so, what do the recent ones contain? (NOTE: be sure to refresh the /logs directory in your FTP program to ensure it is current)

I just did another test order.
Everything in the process of ordering on the test site look great with the costs. (shipping, payment, order review and order complete pages)

There is one debug log

What does it mean?

As stated in the start of this post, when the confirmation emails come back to me, all the costs are correct.

It's just in the Admin of the site that has no costs;

Is this a clean install of Zen Cart v1.5.4 or an upgrade?

Do you have something like Beyond compare from scootersoftware.com that you can use to check that all of the files on the server are loaded correctly?

Is Order 1151, the one you just made?

This was a new install but I did import a database from our live site (139h)

I don't have anything from scottersoftware.com or anyone else that can check on the files to the server.

I really like Beyond compare from scootersoftware.com as you can compare a clean Zen Cart v1.5.4 to your current copy on your computer as well as your server to see where a file might be missing, out of date or changed to help locate problems ...

I am assuming when you did the import of your v1.3.9 database into your v1.5.4 database that you ran the Upgrade on the v1.5.4 database, correct?

No I did not do the database upgrade. I found it easier to do it the other way. I can remember having problems trying to do the upgrade so I just did the import the way I always done it in the past. (I do remember wishing there was a video on the whole process of a upgrade.)

If you feel that I am missing files. Can you tell me roughly what folders to check?

If the db has not been upgraded properly the new install may be looking for a table, or column that doesn't exist on the admin side. You'll need to run the zc_install db upgrade program on your current db... AFTER you've backed it all up of course. Then at least you will get an 'everything updated okay' or an error report... and **then **we can assume that the db structure is correct.

You could also check your PM for info on getting help to resolve this issue... :)

Okay, here's what happened:

**admin/classes/**orders.php

had been wrongly overwritten by

**includes/classes/**orders.php

which was merged for COWOA.

After a peek at the COWOA module which currently only supports zc v1.51, along with a slightly awkward set of instructions/fileset... it was clear what had happened.

So I replaced admin/classes/orders.php with a clean copy from the original zen cart v1.54.

Thanks to Maynards for access, and swift feedback to get this fixed!

P.S.
Other problems encountered that were **unrelated **to this problem but worth mentioning... the 300MB database. Email Archiving was turned on, which stored every email from the cart's inception... over 40,000 emails. After emptying the table... 7.1MB of database is now manageable :)

For anyone reading this that has performed a zc version upgrade... Now would be a good time to check your db for excessive archiving ;)
