Image preview in CKEditor

I just noticed that referencing an image doesn't actually allow you to preview the image - it just has a blob that almost looks like a missing file icon.
Is there a way to "preview" what the image will look like?

If you put a / in front of the relative path it will show in the back- and frontend

"/images/products/your_image.gif"
