Showing top level category images on home page

Has anyone done a mod like this? Where featured items, new items, etc. normally go, just have a box that shows the images for top level categories?

Seems pretty straightforward, but I thought someone might have already done this.

Re: Showing top level category images on home page

Isn't that the same as setting:

Always Show Categories on Main Page
0= off
1= on
Default category can be set to Top Level or a Specific Top Level

And set the Category to 0? :lookaroun

Or are you shooting for something else?

Admin->Layout Settings->Categories - Always Show on Main Page. Thank you, Linda, that's perfect.

I likes to makes da code easy to customize ... 'tis an elf thing to make lots and lots of simple switches for a bazzillion things that people want and to prevent them from having to touch the code ... :cool:
