Most likely ... I have a lot of work to do on this so we shall see ... :lookaroun

Can we get an update on the progress for the USPS Web Tools Update for May 31, 2015?
Oba-san
Right now I am working on it ...
USPS has some errors on the Test server that they need to correct that I have sent to them and hopefully things will be working right soon ... USPS changes are due out on May 31, 2015 so it should be done in time ...
Oba-san
NOTE: It never hurts for you to call or email USPS at webtools @ usps.gov (just remove the spaces) and ask when they will have the USPS test site working right and when they will update the documentation for May 31, 2015 changes ...

Just emailed them.

Hi Linda, Any news yet about the USPS Test site? Thanks, Debbie
Oba-san
Just about done with this and should be able to post it for testing on the USPS Test Server ...
Right now it appears works on the Production Server, providing you do not use any Special Services ... but to test the Special Services, you would need to use the Test Server ...
I am just testing out some of the more bizzaro things based on how USPS is sending back responses for quotes to ensure various combionations can work ...
Granted I am sure I will never dream up all the combos you guys might actually use, but I try to rule out the obvious ones ... :lookaroun
Maybe with luck, I can get out a beta copy of it today or tomorrow for you guys to trash ... err ... test out ...

Linda, is there a USPS link that identifies the scope of this change?
Oba-san
Their Current Release Notes gives the basic idea of what is happening:
www.usps.com/business/web-tools-apis/technical-documentation.htm
The difficulty has been in the response from USPS that were causing issues with how the SpecialServices were being returned and causing an issue with the nameing for, example, the 3 Insurance Services for Insurance, Priority Mail Insurance, Priority Mail Express Insurance returning as Insurance rather than their actual ServieName among others ...
But this is being managed in the new re-write as well as the extra SpecialServices that some may wish to use ...

Ok, Thanks! Will be happy to test it as soon as it's ready. My client does use insurance in certain cases (order over a certain amount). If it came back as just labeled "insurance" rather than the specific "Priority Mail insurance", that would probably be ok until it's fully resolved. Thanks for all your hard work! Debbie

For those who can help test the USPS May 31, 2015 K7 shipping module on the Test Server, please see the thread at:
https://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.php?217337-USPS-May-31-2015-K7-BETA-TEST-SERVER-ONLY
NOTE: This is only designed for beta testing on the USPS Test Server, until the Production Server is updated on May 31, 2015.

Linda, once again the international first class large envelope option does NOT work with the update. The only options that are offered for international (with an item that should be able to be shipped in a large envelope, less than a pound) are the way more expensive first class package service and priority flat rate envelope (which seems wildly more expensive):
Shipping quotes are based on the address information you selected:
BRITISH COLUMBIA CANADA
Available Shipping Methods Rates
United States Postal Service (First-Class Package International Service™) $10.51
United States Postal Service (Priority Mail International® Flat Rate Envelope) $22.85
Oba-san
Did you change the:
USPS minimum Width (International) to 0.75
NOTE: The code has been updated so you do not need to touch the code itself like last time ...
New Zenner
that fixed it, thanks much!
Oba-san
You are most welcome ... thanks for the update!
