Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

picaflor-azul:

It looks like the code for the image has been removed in the includes/templates/responsive_sheffield_blue/templates/tpl_modules_mobile_categories_tabs.php file. I would recommend re uploading a fresh copy of the file from the template package.

Thanks,

Anne

Anne I check the original code that was in teh download zip file It matches what I have online except where I removed the Brands from the drop down. This is the code for the service part

<div id="header-confidence"> <h2><?php echo TITLE_CONFIDENCE;?></h2> <p class="mega-confidence"><?php echo TEXT_CONFIDENCE;?></p> <div id="header-icons"><?php echo PAYMENT_ICON; ?></div>
            </div>

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

Hi Ann... I'm also for removing the whole "Brands", from all layouts ,as I won't be using them... How do I edit those out?

I'm using the 2.0 with 1.5.4.

Thanks!

Try uploading the includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/responsive_sheffield_blue/responsive_sheffield_blue_defines.php

It is using font awesome for the payment icons, not an image

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

Anne,
Thank you so much for designing this beautiful template, very nice.
A quick question. How do I turn on AddtoAny social bookmarking on the product info page? The source code shows they are there, but not showing.
https://www.simplybracelet.com
Thanks again! Linda

Hmm, they are showing on the demo, so I am not sure why they are not showing on your install. Are you sure that you uploaded all of the files? You might try installing the add to any plugin in the plugins section.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

Good morning Anne,

Thank you for the quick reply. I was thinking about installing the plugin. It's good to be confirmed by the expert:)

Mine was fresh install of zen cart 1.5.4. and Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0.

Downloaded latest AddToAny for Zen Cart (Universal Sharing Platform) from plugins section.

I had to add some files, overwrite two files:
includes/templates/templates/rsponsive_shffield_blue/templates
tpl_add_to_any.php
tpl_product_info_display.php.

It Work now. All is good!
Wish you all have a great Thursday! (weekend is around corner)

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

Ive been scratching my head on this for a while. This should be something incredibly easy but I cant figure out where to change the properties of the center category boxes.

In the attachment the (desktop) browser on the left is my old legacy template that is currently live which has a nice 3 across category regardless of the zoom level on the browser.
In the right hand (desktop) browser is my S.Blue experimental build. The center category images have a border box around them and there are breaks in the rows columns. It alternates between three across and one across.

Were do I manipulate to change the border around the images and the number of category columns you see on a full screen?

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

Using Samsung Tablet Galaxy Tab S (SM-T700) I get this shot where the lang & currency boxes have floated down from the tagline wrapper, into the menu bar, as shown. Might I ask, Is this normal and to be expected?
Thanks

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

ver 1.5.4

Looking for a hero. I don't want to be Bumpy McBumperson but I think my question is buried at this point.

Question is: How/were to manipulate the behavior of the center boxes?
My main categories icons are not showing as the same sort of rows on desktop. This happens even if left and right columns are off.
On various mobile emulators it will default to consistent rows of two (although a big area of space between rows)
install is at kayakoutfitting dot com slash beta

Im really hoping someone can help because I feel like I have exhausted all the searching and experimentation I can muster on it. Every web and site search leads me to purple links that I have already read.
Even just telling me what the proper keyword to put into a search would get me moving in the right direction.

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

thanks for taking a look.
kayakoutfitting.com/beta is where I am trying to iron the bugs out.

if you take the /beta off the url you can see what my live site looks like on a legacy template with the 3 across rows I am trying to achieve on the S.Blue template.
Ive been trying to use tools in Firefox to compare the layout of the live site to the beta and I guess I just don't know how to use them because that hasn't pointed me to the right place. It seems like that stuff is happening in stylesheet.css but I am not sure.

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

I need to run out and didn't have time to scroll down to see what other info you gave but

  1. Did you try re-installing the template>? I'm wondering if you missed a file or two so the center column isn't being calculated correctly. I would start here before looking and changing the CSS.

  2. In admin, there is a setting for number of columns. Is it set to 3? It prob is since you had 3 columns before but...

There are a few ways to "fix" this:

  • make all of your titles the same length and images the same height or same aspect ratio
  • add min-heights to make the boxes the same height
  • add a javascript that will make all of the boxes the same height

Also, I am seeing stylesheetBACKUP.css. This is bad. You need to name your back up something like stylesheet.css-bak to avoid loading it.

Thanks,

Anne

Oooh. So exciting. Thank you both of you. You have made my day. I cant describe how how fantastic it feels to to have a clue what to work on now

  1. I haven’t tried that yet. I will try that last if the other suggestions don't work

  2. in configuration/ layout settings ? I don't see that option but I strongly suspect it exists somewhere in admin and I just have not been able to find it. I have wondered from the start if it is not something this simple and I am just not finding it

  1. titles and height and aspect ratio: I will work on that for sure. Resizing the images is at least something I am capable of doing.
  2. Add min height to boxes: is this a css function or something I can do in admin?
  3. Add Javascript to make boxes the same height: If it is an add-on module I think I could manage it, otherwise I don't a lick of javascript.
  4. StylesheetBACKUP.css is present: Ah, yes. I think you are on to something there. I was seeing refrences to it when I was fidding with WebDev and Firebug addons in Firefox but it didnt click in my head.
I went in and made it a more obscure name and the appearance of the boxes changed. The boxes changed height and are now snugger on the bottom and top of the images. That seems to suggest I am working in the right area.

Thanks again to all for the suggestions. Off to do my homework on this and hopefully be able to report back with the solution.
