Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

Golden Synergy:

Got it... :D there is a typo on the last line..... "payments" should be "payments.png"
Thanks jpda for your help. the dropdown under Service now has the payments.png pic.

No, there is no typo or problem with the file. The new version of the template uses font awesome, not an image.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

KNERD:

Yes the template worked fine before. It still works fine, that is until Spanish is selected.
I downloaded this Language pack:

https://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1110

Then followed the directions.

The template comes in English. If you want it to work with other languages you need to copy the template language files to your new language and then translate them.

Thanks,

Anne

Just to avoid confusion:
Indeed, there is no problem at all with the original template file. But Golden Synergy wanted a picture instead of the fa and he referred to a possible solution that I suggested in post https://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.php?217203-Responsive-Sheffield-Blue-v2-0/page69&p=1305793#post1305793, which, after all, did not have a typo either.

Thanks,

jpda

fjbern1943:

Will this new template work on V1.55 store?

I have installed this template on a clean install test site of zc 1.5.5 with upgraded database from my zc 1.5.4 live store. Seems ok with my testing thus far, so merged in Canada Post mod and Stock by Attributes mod, and again so far so good.

I note that in the template v of admin/layoutcontroller.php the main diff to my eye from zc1.5.5 core file is the added column of 'min-width' in the config/tools/layout controller screen. My site works with either of these files - no sure what the purpose of min-width is.

(Also I understand the concept of compliance issues, but have no idea if there are such issues in this or other files in this template version.)

The banner slide show that appears on the main page... can it be moved to the bottom? And if so, how?

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

This is going to seem like a very simple question with all of you ZenCart Wizards on here! I have v. 1.5.4 and I have seen other templates with tabs above their products including DESCRIPTION, DETAILS, REVIEWS. I have looked throughout this thread and in Configuration under Index listing and don't see it there or elsewhere and am wondering where in the world do I find this? Also, I don't think that the "newest" product is functioning correctly because when I add new products, they don't come up first.

Any help is appreciated. You can see the website here: www.mygiftsite.com

Thanks much,

Silver

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

I just installed this template into a fresh zc155 and I'm experiencing a couple issues.

First, when adding products to the shopping cart (or just clicking on Shopping Cart link), I receive this message:

An unknown response null: :text/html; charset=utf-8: :SyntaxError: Unexpected token m was received while processing an ajax call. The action you requested could not be completed.

Also, on the backend, I receive a persistent message at the top my admin in a green box:

Enabled Responsive Sheffield Blue Configuration Menu.

To try to resolve conflicts, I started going thru the files supplied by the template, comparing and merging with zc155 originals.

Some of this work is simple. For instance, it seems pretty clear that admin/layout_controller.php needs to be merged into zc155. Other comparisons seem to indicate that the template file should be discarded entirely in favor of the zc155 original. For instance: /includes/classes/Mobile_Detect.php

Other merges are downright messy and it's unclear to me how to proceed (/includes/classes/split_page_results.php).

So to answer this question:> RedSpinnaker:

Will this current version of Responsive Sheffield Blue V 2.0 work with the new zen cart v1.5.5 ?
Thanks

I'm inclined to say maybe you should wait for a zc155 update to this template?

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

I'm getting ready to upgrade our current 1.5.4 catalog and so did a fresh install of v.1.5.5 on my local WAMP server. Clean install, new database and first thing I attempted to install was the Sheffield Blue 2.0 template. Now on my Admin I get "WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again." Refreshing does nothing but generate more DEBUG files.

When uploading the template files I followed the instructions and allowed them to overwrite core files.

Server setup: PHP 5.6.15 / MySQL 5.7.9 / Apache 2.4.17

Debug files are attached (I didn't bother obscuring file names as they are on my local server and will be changed for live).[Attachment no longer available]

suggestion for this here: https://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.php?219766-Getting-ajax-error-in-v155-with-v154-Westminster-template&p=1306510#post1306510

I'm VERY amateur, so I don't know if I'll have compliance issues, but thus far the template seems to be performing whatever testing I'm trying. (touch wood)

I'm using same WAMP setup. This is the sequence I did to set up zc 1.5.5 with Responsive Sheffield Blue and my database from my live zc 1.5.4 store:

1.Set up blank dB named zencart in myPhpAdmin

  1. ZC1.5.5 clean install with blank dB. Incl zen_ prefix for dB

  2. Removed zc_install folder as per instructions

Everything seems to be working.

  1. Drop dB via myPhpAdmin and create new blank dB called zencart
  2. Import backup copy of my current live dB
  3. Copy zc_install folder back into wamp/www/
  4. Run localhost/zc_install and select ‘Upgrade’
When it asks for user/pass - use the user/pass from the livesite as that’s what’s now in the dB

I did have some initial difficulty with the zc install as I was trying to use localhost/example.com as I had in previous installs. It wanted only localhost/ as the url (not sure if that's related to something else I did or didn't do)

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

I didn't even get so far as upgrading my 1.5.4 db. I'm currently using a different template on my 1.5.4 site and would like to switch to Sheffield Blue so wanted to try it on a clean install first. I ran into these issues on the clean 1.5.5 test database. If you had Sheffield Blue installed on your previous 1.5.4db so didn't run into the problems I did. Based on the DEBUG files it looks like it's an issue with creating a particular table in the database, so if you'd copied over a previous database, that table would have been there and the install would have been fine.

It looks like you edited the code incorrectly. You can add in the correct code again and then make your edits:

<a href="https://www.facebook.com/Custom.Zen.Cart.Design\" target="_blank"><i class="fa fa-facebook"></i></a><a href="https://twitter.com/picaflorazul" target="_blank"><i class="fa fa-twitter"></i></a><a href="http://www.pinterest.com/picaflorazul" target="_blank"><i class="fa fa-pinterest"></i></a><a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/ZenCartEasyHelp" target="_blank"><i class="fa fa-youtube"></i></a><a href="" target="_blank"><i class="fa fa-instagram"></i></a>

Just be sure that you only change the urls to your social media urls.

Thanks,

Anne

You can take the call for the slide show from the tpl_header.php file and move it to the tpl_footer.php file.

Thanks,

Anne

The template comes with tabs on the product info page for description, details, reviews, and a custom tab.

Thanks,

Anne

Try removing the includes/templates/responsive_sheffield_blue/jscript/jscript_framework.php file.
