Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

It's been a while since I've used this template and I'm not sure in which file you'll find this code, but for the tabs there is:

<li><a href="section-1" class="icon-food"><span>Newest</span></a></li>
<li><a href="section-2" class="icon-shop"><span>Featured</span></a></li>
<li><a href="section-3" class="icon-cup"><span>Specials</span></a></li>

if you remove the href content like so

<li><a href="" class="icon-food"><span>Newest</span></a></li>
<li><a href="" class="icon-shop"><span>Featured</span></a></li>
<li><a href="" class="icon-cup"><span>Specials</span></a></li>

the tabs will still work but google shouldn't complain. There will be a prettier way to do this but I only have a few mins.

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

That's a great idea, and works really well! Removing that just leave the site url, which is fine.
For anyone else that want to fix this, the file is:
/includes/templates/responsive_sheffield_blue/templates/tpl_index_default.php

I have done the same fix on the product info pages, which also have a #section-1,#section-2 and #section-3, which produces a 404.
The file for this is:
/includes/templates/responsive_sheffield_blue/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

As I come back to this, I believe a better way would be to remove the href altogether, so

<li><a href="" class="icon-food"><span>Newest</span></a></li>
<li><a href="" class="icon-shop"><span>Featured</span></a></li>
<li><a href="" class="icon-cup"><span>Specials</span></a></li>

becomes

<li><a class="icon-food"><span>Newest</span></a></li>
<li><a class="icon-shop"><span>Featured</span></a></li>
<li><a class="icon-cup"><span>Specials</span></a></li>

As I've just read an 'a' tag without the href is a 'placeholder hyperlink' in HTML5. You also don't need the class attribute but I've left it in in case it helps with any future styling needs.

Removing the href means you lose the 'hand on hover' so you will have to add a line to your stylesheet, like this

.tabs nav a {
    color: #becbd2;
    display: block;
    font-size: 130%;
    line-height: 2.5;
    padding: 0 1.25em;
    white-space: nowrap;
    cursor: pointer;
}

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

Zencart 1.5.5f, new install, no add-ons/plug-ins.
Can someone please tell me where to change/replace the images/alt in the slider on the home page? I have gone into admin/tools/define pages editor/define_main_page.php and there is nothing there for it and I cannot seem to locate where to make the changes.

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

If by images/alt you mean the text that appears on the images on the slider, then that would be done in the admin panel tools/banner manager. The slide title is what apprears as text.

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

I'm using a modified version of Responsive Sheffield Blue. I've tried "forever" to find and get rid of a little red triangle off to the side of my website and the thing continues to evade me. Can someone help me figure out how to get rid of it? It is found below the fold and to the left of a wide screen display. I'm attaching a JPG so you can see where it is found.

Also, I welcome any other suggestions while you're looking around! Thanks!

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

It doesn't appear that you are using the ribbon calls in the stylesheet or are "covering them up" with other calls.
You can do a quick fix by turning of the border-style:solid; in stylesheet.css for the .ribbon1 call around line 218

Thank you... Ribbon "calls"... I don't know what a call is - perhaps that's why I had such a hard time styling them out of the template. I'll have to look into that and see what I can learn. Thanks again! It was such an easy solution after all the time I spent chasing ghosts.

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

Using this template on V 1.5.5f.

For desktop viewing I have left boxes (Category, Information) shown. For the mobile view those boxes appear under the header and you have to scroll past them to get to the information. I would like to turn those boxes off for mobile devices only. The pulldown menu is good for the mobile view. I searched the thread and cannot find an answer but maybe I overlooked it. Any ideas?

Thanks

I don't currently have this template but used it for several years. But as I recall, in your admin panel, tools/layout controller - the column on the far right allows you to turn things off/on for mobile.

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

Ok, I am missing my discount on the Product Info Pages and Product Listings.

I have switch to Responsive Classic I am getting this:

$19.95
Sale: $15.96
Save: 20% OFF

But on the Responsive Sheffield Blue:
$19.95
Sale: $15.96

That is it. No "Save: 20% Off" and on the Product Info Page. Please help fix this. Thanks.

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

I am using this template with zen cart 1.5.5f

Everything works fine except when checking or adding product to cart, I am getting the following error:

An unknown response null: :text/html; charset=utf-8: :Bad Request was received while processing an ajax call. The action you requested could not be completed

The error appears as a pop up and when I click ok, the cart shows with the correct items.

Any help would be appreciated

Thank you

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

Hello,

I am running ZenCart version 1.5.5f on PHP 7.1 utilizing the Responsive Sheffield Blue 2.0 template.
I am not able to get Subcategory links on the main section Category landing pages to show up even though I have located the code on the template page and know they should be displaying. I am assuming, based on reading other threads that Responsive Sheffield Blue is optimized for columns display. I am using rows display. Could that be my issue? If so has anybody else run into this problem and is there any way to fix this?

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

Would it be possible to add a "Shop Now" button on top of the banner image on the home page?

This button would need to have mouse over or roll over effect.

Thank you

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

my site is http://www.thecubden.org/store/ For LED's in the Categories on the left side i have sub Categories. when I click on LEDs it did give me a blank page. ( just added a note to let people know where to go) At one time it would list mu sub categories on this page. Also I see that all the footer info is gone on that page.
