Stumped - unsure what is going on with EZ-Pages

Hello

I've been working on creating a template to upgrade my zc1.50 to zc.1.5.4.

I have installed
CEON URI mapping
Flexible Footer Menu
Sales Report
CSS/JS Loader (it is turned off)

I have created a few links in EZ Pages and am trying to create a link in the footer through Flexible Footer Menu. I am able to create the link and it shows up in the footer, however when I click the link, I get a page not found error. The page exists in the EZ Page menu and has a sort order.

I turned CEON off to see if perhaps that was messing things up but that did not do anything. Links created through Define Page Menu work perfectly but EZ pages is not working. The link to the live set up www dot kinkykupid dot com /zencart154. In the footer, you will see the link 2257 Compliance. Clicking it takes us to the page not found page. Same with About Us and a few other links.

I've been searching here for hours and have not been able to find a solution. Can someone please point me to the right direction? I need to be able to use EZ pages for several landing pages that I am working on as well:frusty:

Re: Stumped - unsure what is going on with EZ-Pages

So first thing is to see if the issue persists when temporarily using the default template. If it works then the problem is in the template. There were changes made to the EZ-pages handling in ZC 1.5.4 which may not have yet been incorporated into the template code that is being used.

At that point would want to compare the template files to the base files to identify the discrepancy. Whatever the result perhaps posting the result(s) back here will help you or someone else.

That's a good idea. I forgot about that trying to stare at this problem all day. The template code is based on bootstrap so I've just incorporated their CSS and have not changed anything in the core zencart files other than what CEON's module has changed.

Re: Stumped - unsure what is going on with EZ-Pages

So EZ pages is working with the default template and the page shows. When I switch it back, it goes back to page not found.

I am wondering if it's a flexible footer module. I will compare files to see if I can come up with an answer and if not, report back here...

For clarification, CEON URI Rewriter when properly installed would not cause this issue. And more than likely if incorrectly installed would not be presented with a ZC page not found message but instead some form of server like error. But at that point anything is possible if incorrectly installed.

All that said, it appears as if the issue is in something template related and is being investigated.

Re: Stumped - unsure what is going on with EZ-Pages

I stumbled upon an issue where the EZ-Pages header disappeared after upgrade from 1.5.1 to 1.5.4 and discovered that Admin -> Configuration -> EZ-Pages Settings -> EZ-Pages Display Status - HeaderBar had been reset to zero, I guess in the database upgrade.

Re: Stumped - unsure what is going on with EZ-Pages

In my case the page: MYTEMPLATE/templates/tpl_page_default.php was the conflicting one. After comfirming that EZ-Pages worked in the default theme, I removed ALL of the files from the MYTEMPLATE/templates folder (so they would be grabbed from the core files) and replaced them one by one 'till the EZ_page info became visible.

That would be the template file that displays the ez page information. During an upgrade either a new template that is compatible with the new ZC version should be installed or the template override files should be compared against the default version of the same to be sure that the only differences are those necessary to support the unique features of the templated file.

That wouldn't have fixed the database modification, but at least the file wouldn't be in the way.

Re: Stumped - unsure what is going on with EZ-Pages

v150 rewrites not working for me. There isnt anywhere on the bottom of the page to name the url or a check box like with the other products.

ZC v1.5.7 "I was so much older then...I'm younger than that now" Cut the umbilical cord with webhosts after 20 years. FREEDOM!

Have to "reinstall" the applicable code into the applicable file(s) to regain the checkbox and uri rewriter functionality on EZ-Pages after the upgrade that was performed from ZC 1.5.1 to ZC 1.5.4. Additionally the latest version of the software should be sought out as there was a change in how ZC accessed the database and there might have been changes in the plugin's code to match. Sorry, been a while since looking through that aspect as it works when installed as provided...

Perhaps could go through the setup check that is offered in the admin to see what results are provided.

Re: Stumped - unsure what is going on with EZ-Pages

I have the latest version of ceon. But using zc1.5, There were some changes that affected zc v1.54 but I did not install them since I am still on zc1.5.

There were javascript files in a directory that I had no idea where to put them, same for css, in a _docs directory. Everything else works nicely, although hyphens in directory names seems to be refused. Underscores work well though.

ZC v1.5.7 "I was so much older then...I'm younger than that now" Cut the umbilical cord with webhosts after 20 years. FREEDOM!
