Manufacturers Drop Down Box Not Behaving

In the manufacturers drop down box (named Shop By Designer), I can't get it to hover with a color, and when I select a brand, it turns a strange gold color.

The same issue with the gold color is happening in the filter on this, and any page where the filter is present.

Yet one more issue; there is a jumping thing going on when I hover over some of the sideboxes. The same thing happens when I hover over the Prev/Next on this and other pages:

I hope someone can take a look and guide me. Firebug and other tools have not helped me.

It seems the issues have been fixed, no gold color, no jumping.

The only issue I see is with "Fierce Fabulous Fragrances", where the text does not fit in the image, either you change the image (line 31 of stylesheet.css) and that would affect all left box headings, or you change the size of the heading.

Thank you for responding. I'm going to change the name of that so it fits without messing with the headings.
