Cannot complete the USPS upgrade (The shipping module detail window is not rendering)

•What you were doing when your problem occurred?
I was merely trying to update the usps shipping module because when attempting to use the USPS to estimate shipping cost, it was not returning any result.
I was following the instructions as prescribed in this link: http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1292
When, I removed the USPS shipping module for upgrading, that's when I noticed that the shipping module window does not work. The payment module screenshot is included for reference:

Remove the USPS shipping module addon, and then you will not be able to view the shipping module detail window that is displayed to the right.

•What steps have you taken?
I tried to write to a log file to determine at which point the code fails, and I have found the place in zc_admin/modules.php around line 250...when it is going to execute: ksort($installed_modules);
