Changing older download products download expiration
Hi,
We sell downloadable products, and have been for nearly 10 years. For the first 5 years we had the Download Expiration set in Admin->Config->Attribute Settings set to the default of 7 days. We made the change for the last 5 years to have this set to 30 days as to lighten the unnecessary Admin load of people not downloading before they expire.
My question is, we still have 5 years worth of products that still have the 7 day expiration as that was how they were originally set up when inserting the product (and did not take on the new 30 day setting when changed in Admin->Config->Settings). Is there a way to change these to now have 30 days as well? Do I have to delete and re-insert each ones' attributes, and if so will it cause any issues with changing the product number (as they are old products and I don't want them to change the product number which will then make them show as "most recent".) Lastly will it affect the product in a way that will not allow me to reset a customer's order (who previously purchased this product) as the cart will think that this particular download is not available any longer? Is there an easier way to edit the product in the MyPhpAdmin tables?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Jeff
