Am I able to hide some of the menu items in admin?

its not critical more annoying - but I don't want to tamper with too much code as one day I might need to undo it

However I would like to hide the EXTRAS menu item - as a minimum and maybe play around with a few others - to make the menu shorter (some plugins add to the menu width wise and it starts to wrap and is annoying :))

Thanks
Sarah

You can create a new admin profile and only show those options for that profile

So, you could run some sql to move items from one assigned location to another (assuming that a file doesn't "force" the option to always show up in that menu), and as necessary the file(s) edited to display the option(s) elsewhere.

Can you please explain exactly what you did to trigger that problem? If there's a real bug we'd like to fix it.

Sorry I missed out on this notification

I created a new user called SuperUserShort and then hid

ADMIN ACCESS MANAGEMENT
EXTRAS
MAGIC TOOLBOX

Top menu items

And then on going into ORDERS we got the security error message when refunding them via the details page

"We used to be able to send a notification to the customer when we refunded them by clicking on the refund button on the details page - it is now saying that my security clearance does not allow me to do this?"

Does this help - please say if you need anything further

(1.5.4 using super order latest module)

Thanks
Sarah

Re: Am I able to hide some of the menu items in admin?

It's possible that the Super Orders module doesn't properly implement the necessary security permissions for doing refunds.
Or maybe something is wrong with how your payment module does refunds. You didn't explain which payment gateway you're using for processing payments and refunds.
You also didn't state what the "exact" error message is.

Also, does this happen to ALL non-superusers? Or just when you disable a certain permissions checkbox?
