connection to my database on godaddy

I want to connect some applications created in php and mysql but I can not connect to the database, these files were tested on another server and work perfectly, but do not know the data put in my file to upload to godaddy

Did you enable Direct Database access when you set up the DB?

Also is there a PHP difference of importance? (Mysql_ versus mysqli_ type functions?) Error messages related to the issue?

The Solution
1-log in to the cpanel-hosting
2- MySQL® Databases
3-Create New Database
4-MySQL Users Add New User
5-Add User To Database and create permissions

It seems this is permission issue. Have you try to contact godaddy about this issue?
