Free Shipping, but only on certain items

We currently offer free shipping on all orders over 100.00 (certain restrictions apply). How can we set the system up to do it ONLY on the items we want to offer free freight on?

There are a number of ways... I won't claim any one better than any other because of my limited experience in having to manage such... Could base off of all such products being in a particular category, could be based on the destination of the items, could be on specific product the list of which needs to be managed in some way, could be based on an existing product flag such as always free_shipping, etc... Also, what other shipping method(s) are available if free shipping is not to be offered for the product(s), what is to happen if there is a mix of product? Etc... There are several other such posts in the forum, may I suggest looking at those referenced at the bottom of this thread?
