product price setup

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to set up a product in zencart which requires the customer to select the item as well as the case (10pc, 100 pc).
if 10 pc then price 10 , if 100Pc then price100Pc. I have attached a picture of the attributes I set up. When I add item it only calculates price+quantity instead of price * qty
I noted that price accepts only + and - prefix.
can anyone please guide me how to do the setup?

Default ZC functionality does not offer a multiply for attribute combinations. Would require additional coding/plugin in order to support... Some have separated such a product into something that is offered in a 10 pack and another product offered in a 100 pack, with the cost adjusted accordingly. Otherwise, could do some other coding to add the product in quantities such as in units of 10... Then the price is set at the cost of 10 and you as the "shipper" can figure out if they ordered say 110 and offer a single 10 quantity in addition to a 100 quantity..

Are you wanting the customer to decide on a single size THEN on what quantity?

You could set up four sizes with two options (qty)

Or.. Two quantities with four size options.

The attribute controller can do that for you. I.E.

For sizes with quantity options , you'd create a product for the size. The Option Name would be Quantity. Option Values would be "Select a Qty", 10, and 100. You could easily add 5, 25, 50, or any others that would help.

Make the Option Quantity required and make Select a Qty the Default and Display Only ( those are the yellow and orange options in the Attributes Controller.

But for me each size price is different. customer has to select the size whether it is 1.25mm ($3.00)or 1.5mm ($4.25) and then select case of 10 or 100 or 500. Price should be price of single stone * case. Ex. if customer selects 1.25mm and case 10 the value added should be $3.00 * 10 = $30 for 1.5mm case 10 it should be $40

What I'm saying is that (out of the box) Zen Cart can do what you want IF you present the sizes as a product.
For example, under Cubic Zirconia , you would have products for each size. Each size would be priced by attributes with values of Please Select, 10, 20, ....
That would get you started without having to do major coding or wait/pay for a mod. You could be selling in minutes.

So like I tried to say earlier (but looking back didn't do a good job) and like dbltoe is saying:
Cubc zircon is the product, price 0, set the product priced by attribute, set the units to 10.
Attrbute controller add all the attributes desired (sze) with price per "item".

Customer required to enter quantities of 10 to add the product to the cart and away the store goes...

There are three or more ways to do this but, the OPs customer wants drill-down. They will just have to wait or spend big bucks for programming.
Maybe we should do a fundme for someone to do this. There are many here that want this but the current 1.5.x series makes it extremely difficult to do. Conor was very close at the time of his passing.
