Doesn't work correctly with a Blackberry Bold 9930...

1. When navigating to the site, at first a "mobile" template is displayed, but then upon selecting any link on the page, the template changes to the "default" template... At this point the URI changes from demos... to www.demos... If the URI is modified again to remove the www. then the mobile template again shows until the next click of a link (excluding as described below).
2. When pressing the Full Desktop link at the bottom of the page, nothing happens.

Appears not to detect and work as claimed and would think that such a device would be covered as it has been around to have support provided.

It seems to work fine for me in my iPhone 6, my iPad Air and on Android using a Samsung Galaxy Star Plus Duos S7262. Although you are right about the desktop link at the bottom which I will work on it to provide an update right away.

No, I'm sorry. You could use a file comparison software to merge the changes. Compare the theme to a clean 1.3.9h installation and see what code doesn't belong there in order to make the appropriate changes. Most of the files are template based, by that I mean they use the template override system and will not interfere with any other theme.

Those that are core file will more than likely not interfere either since they will only override the display when viewed on mobile devices.

No theme is flattering at whatever resolution with the ZenCart default demo images. They are small and unappealing.

The purpose of the MobiZenCart theme is to make the site useful to visitors on mobile devices. It is up to the store owners to provide good images of their products and arrange better settings for widths and heights so that the images display properly. You should not expect product images 100w x 80h pixels to actually look good in a screen displaying at 1366 pixels.

If you look at the demos included in my signature although not free and one of them not even available, you can see that with some tweaks to the settings, the theme can look much better.

As of this writing you have 1,164 posts. Are most of them just there to negatively criticize other people’s work? You have done nothing but criticize a FREE plugin without providing any useful feedback. Why don’t you limit the postings on this thread for people that may benefit from it with feedback I can work with to make the theme perhaps even more useful for others?

This FREE mobile theme works on smartphones and tablets without disrupting the site’s desktop theme. It is designed to be fast and useful to mobile users. Store owners are responsible to change the settings in order to display the pages the way they see fit. Upload the files, change settings, you are done. It is that simple

Say what you want. I was just inquiring and offered what I saw. I made no comment regarding image size or the image being distorted... just layout.

To me, mobile means telephone sized handheld device. Tablet is a different device. Desktop is different. That is why I asked. Since there was not distinction, my initial assumption was mobile meant mobile based upon my perception and our customer's perception. I may be the only person in the world that makes that distinction but I would be surprised if that is true. None of the screen prints that I saw were representative of tablet display... just mobile telephone handheld devices.

I am sorry that you felt the need to make such a lengthy comment. It might be helpful to provide a disclaimer that out of the box this might not render well on tablet devices.

Coupla questions.. Point 4 of the description gives me the impression that I can use this theme and still offer a different "experience" or "look/feel" for tablets and desktops with this contribution. Am I understanding this correctly?? I could modify the theme so that the tablet (particularly the larger tablets) will have a different layout than the smartphone? I ask because IMHO it's nice when the larger tablet display is presented in a sort of "hybrid" of the smartphone and desktop presentation as opposed to being a "larger" version of the smartphone display.. (something my clients always ask for which is why I am asking this) Hoping I am understanding that this theme is flexible enough to allow me to do this..:smile:

Finally I checked out the other demos in your siggy (this is on the Samsung Note 5 smartphone) FYI two of them (Mobile: **MobiZenCart**: Osprey for ZCv1.5.4, **MobiZenCart**: Nokomis for ZCv1.5.4) show some kind of Asian characters as icons.. Not sure why.. thought you'd want to know..

I really like the fact that it doesn't look like, I mean function like every other mobile template out there where you have to click button after button after button before you actually see a product for sale. :bigups:

I didn't have to much time to play with but I did notice the following:

1. I get no scroll on the off-canvas menu on my iphone.
2. The login page is all bunched up on my iphone (the labels sit to the right) unlike the mobile versions "template switch" on a desktop view <==(much cleaner looking IMO).
3. Google recommends a minimum tap target size of roughly 7mm, or 48 CSS pixels (maybe enlarging the icons would make it a bit more mobile friendly for us big fingered folks like myself).
4. Not to appealing on tablets (IMO).

All in All, I like it! Not that my opinion matters just thought I'd share. Nice work :smile:

You could add your own media queries in an css file or add a particular css file to load only for tablets. Use the code below for whenever you need elements to display on tablets.

1. I don't know what to say. The images below are from an iPhone. If I can't recreate the problem, I can't solve it.

2. Again, the images below. I thought the login page was pretty clean with plenty of white space. You can always add more space to it by modifying the css to your liking.

Maybe in an update, meanwhile just like above, tweak the css. I'm sure you can modify it somewhat to meet your style. I ran the URL through the Google mobile test and it came back with good results.

There is only so much I can do with the default demo. Maybe by adding better images would help or maybe in an update I could open the left menu for tablets on landscape, who knows. I wanted to test whether the theme would be welcome before I put more time into it.

I welcome constructive criticism anytime. Anything that can be said in order to improve the theme is helpful. I do value your opinion regardless whether we disagree on different subjects. I assume that is why you said the above. You obviously know about mobile/responsive design. Your opinion is valuable and I thank you for it.

I am trying out Mobizen Cart and so far it's great.
I have a few questions that I can't find an answer to in the read me file.

1. On my phone the icons for the menu, shop and search are not displaying. I think they use a font but when I look at the source code I don't see a link to a stylesheet for the fonts. How should those icons be loading into the template? i checked and the fonts are uploaded to the templates folder, the mobizencart one.

2. Second question is how to I get the Main Page text to show on the mobile device?
   On the help file it says to open it in the define pages editor:
   "If you don't need to modify the file, skip the textbox editor and simply hit the save button.

Your page on the mobile theme has been created and saved to the includes/languages/english/html_includes/mobizencart folder"
I did this but the page is not saved in the folder. the permissions on the folder is 755.

What am I doing wrong there please?

It all sounds like not all of the files uploaded correctly. Try downloading the plugin again and make sure to upload all of the files to your installation.

The icons I use in that theme are found here: http://ionicons.com. The css file needs to upload and so does the fonts folder inside templates/mobizencart.

As for the main page. Make sure that the define_pages_editor.php file inside your admin folder overrides the one in your current installation. Make a backup of yours first. If you have made changes to your file, make sure to compare the files and add the code to yours. Incidentally that file was a contribution from Scott Wilson (thatsoftwareguy). That file saves a lot of work, no pun intended. If your installation is not saving the files then simply add a copy of your define_main_page.php to the languages/english/html_includes/mobizencart folder.

A link to your site would help also in order to inspect the source code.

Hi I installed mobizen carts, and even seo url latest version, activating both will not work while the MObizencart disabling seo url works, is there any configuration to be changed? Thank you

That is not going to work. MobiZenCart is built with jQuery Mobile which kinda' rewrites the URL.
