Origin of Country for Shipping not working

I am not sure what I did here, but I installed about 6 months ago and must have done something wrong when I choose my country of origin. I am trying to install the USPS module and I get this error on my shipping modules page: United States Postal Service - USPS can only ship from USA. But your store is configured with another origin! See Admin->Configuration->Shipping/Packaging. (Also see my attached screen shot.) I have also added a screen shot of my shipping/packaging in configuration. I don't believe what I have is correct "USA" and that is the only option I have. How do I add other options?

What version of USPS shipping module do you have installed?

If you go to the Locations / Taxes ... Countries ... and find the USA what do you see for the settings? And in the URL what do you see for the cID= in that URL?

In the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... what is your setting on the:

Postal Code
Enter the Postal Code (ZIP) of the Store to be used in shipping quotes. NOTE: For USA zip codes, only use your 5 digit zip code.

I cannot quite read that zip code from the image that you posted ...

The version is USPS RateV4 Intl RateV2 - May 31, 2015 Version K7

Locations / Taxes ... Countries settings are as follows: Country = USA, ISO Codes= US and USA, Status is ON. In the editing section I have Name: USA, ISO Code (2): US, ISO Code (3) USA, Address format: 2 and Status is active for shipping.

URL: 1&cID=1&action=edit

Configuration/Shipping/Packaging settings:

Country of Origin USA
Postal Code 10977
Enter the Maximum Package Weight you will ship 50
Package Tare Small to Medium - added percentage:weight 0:4
Larger packages - added packaging percentage:weight 10:0
Display Number of Boxes and Weight Status 3
Order Free Shipping 0 Weight Status 0 Info
Shipping Estimator Display Settings for Shopping Cart 0
Display Order Comments on Admin Invoice 1
Display Order Comments on Admin Packing Slip 1

The zip is the zip to my dropshipper.

Did you delete your countries and add them back in?

Normally, there are 244 countries and the United States is cID 223 ...

This is actually coded in the USPS shipping module to use 223 ...

That is where I am not sure. I can't have imagined doing that. I have designed 50 sites using Zen cart in the past. It would have been a mistake if I did. Any way I can add them back and how?

Can you do a screen shot or your Countries page in the Admin?

NOTE: be sure not to include the URL with your secret admin directory on it ...

Is this site a Live Site or are you just testing an install?

I should say it is live but I am adding a new dropshipper to my site.

Any further ideas? I still need this fixed or I can't us usps for shipping.

If you look at your database in phpMyAdmin how many records are in the table:
customers
address_book

If you browse the table:
address_book

do all of the fields for:
entry_country_id

read as 1?

Actually, none at all. I only want the US, no alaska or Hawaii. There are no zones at all.

Since you have no Customers ... then you have no Orders ...

The best thing to do is drop what is in the tables:
countries
zones

and rebuild their content then make a Zone Definition with the DETAILS defined for who you want to ship to and add that Zone Definition to the USPS shipping module ...

I have no idea how to mess with the database tables like that. I have no idea at all how to begin to do what you suggest. I am a designer, but I have never had to mess with the tables.

You are on Zen Cart v154, correct?

When I get some free time, I will see if I can make something that you can just paste into the SQL on phpMyAdmin to fix the two tables ...

You can use this SQL file by downloading this Zip and next unzip it and via your phpMyAdmin you can import this into your database ...

Next, you can build a Zone Definition for what you are wanting to use for the Zone Definition ... this link to the FAQs should help you make a Zone:
