Not sure how to go about this - "replicating shop"

My site is up and running wonderfully. I've been using Zen Cart for many versions and years. While not a programmer, with the tips and tricks provided in the forums and faq, I'm very comfortable with adding mods, templates, etc...

Here's my dilemma - I now offer a direct sales option for my products. Those who sign up will get their own website (which will be theirname.shopbellaornamenti.com where my main shop is shopbellaornamenti.com) I had originally planned on just creating each fresh by hand, but if it takes off, this will consume all of my time. I need an easy way to copy the entire shop to each reps domain. I will be the one shipping the items, though I'd want the reps to be able to log in and see their sales (though I can always set up something else for this so not a major concern)

They won't be able to customize their sites, they will all look the same though I will add their contact info on their site.

Will the Multi-Site module work for v1.54? Is that a good option for what I want or is there a different/easier way?

Yes I believe that this module will support what you are seeking

What will be different among each site? Almost seems like it may be more worth your time to simply have a .htaccess rewrite to change the site prefix into a form of a parameter that provides the "options" sought... Though I haven't yet considered the admin side... There too, what is expected to be offered to the customer by that "path"? Just to be able to see their sales? Seems like that could be something created allowing each vendor to have access rights restricted to just their goods/sales...

Otherwise, to me it seems like you will have a lot of work to do/keep you busy and things to consider like plugin upgrades, code changes, etc... Not impossible, just something to keep in mind while you develop your plan of action.
