Whoops! issues on working site. Seem to start after WHM / cPanel upgrade???

Greetings All,

Having the Whoops! session timeout issue. Background: site has been working for about a year. Did a WHM / cPanel update for security fix. Then stated getting emails from customers saying they either can't checkout or log-in or both.

I couldn't recreate the error until I cleared cookies from my browser. Once I did that, I got the Whoops when logging in. I could get it to work if I then went back to the original login page (not from the Whoops page with the zenid in the URL). Once logged in, I could get through to the order confirmation page, then Whoops again...

The only change that I made was doing a WHM / cPanel update???

Suggestions as were to look? Please let me know if any additional info would be helpful!

ZC 1.5.4
PHP 5.4.39
MySQL 5.5.42
session.hash_bits_per_character set to 4

Thanks

Perhaps the cPanel upgrade corrupted the db?

I wouldn't expect the session.hash_bits_per_character of 4 to be a problem. What's the setting for session.hash_function ? I think 1 is normal for that.

You could perhaps do a database-table-repair on the "sessions" table using phpMyAdmin, and also try truncating the table (sometimes called "Empty"ing, which purges all records in it and resets all internal pointers).

Hi Dr Byte,

OK, truncated and repaired session table. No difference. What should session.hash_bits_per_character be set to?

session.hash_function is set to 0

Thanks

On my servers, the hash-function is 1, and the hash-bits is 5. But I'm using PHP 5.6 and PHP 7.
I'm not convinced these are the issue.

OK, when back in to WHM and re-saved my php configuration. Seems to have corrected the issues for now!

Bizarre. After saving, did any of the info change vs the screenshot you posted above?
