Salemaker wont set to on

Using ZC 1.5.4. I cannot turn on the salemaker if I enter a date in the end date box. When I click update it changes the date to 1/01/2036 and the sale is set to off. I have tried to set date for both the american format and the UK format and so have chosen dates that would work in bot formats but the same issue still occurs.

I have got the tableau template and FEC installed as well but cannot see that these are having and impact. Has anyone else had issue like this before?

I cannot repeat this issue in Zen Cart v1.5.4 ...

Have you changed anything about the date in the:
/your_secret_admin/includes/languages/english.php
