Cloned Shipping for 3 modules - various Countries and Costs

I have an interesting one that requires three cloned modules. I did clone flat rate but now not sure that's what I need. Now looking at per weight. Here's what my client wants to do:

My basic first class without insurance is $3 for USA, Canada $10.95, China $17.95 everywhere else is $14.95. I charge this for items under $100.

For items $100- $1000 USA $7.00 Canada 12.95 China 29.95 everywhere else $19.95.

For items that cost over 1K the cost is USA $16 Canada $28 everywhere else $35

Does it look possible? I'm just stuck trying to figure this out. I believe per weight but wanted to check with you. Don't even see where I would set those prices. :dontgetit

Are you trying to calculate shipping based on Product price so that if in the cart there is:
1 Product for $50.00
1 Product for $125.00
1 Product $1300
Shipping would be:
$3 + $7 + $16 for the USA

Or, do you mean because the order is for $1475 that the shipping for the USA is $16.00?

I'm looking at zoned rates and I have modified them to have 4 zones. I believe that's the way I'll have to go? But need some help.

I do not believe that you need to clone Zone Rates zones but add more zones to it ...

By default it comes with 3 zones ...

In your examples, you have:
USA
Canada
China
Rest of the world

So I believe you need 4 zones ...

However, your last example does not show China by itself, did you miss showing its charge?

If so, you just need a little help configuring the Zone Rates for each Zone and their charges based on Price ...

Thanks so much. Yes, I just left it off that one. Will be 4 zones on each. Kind of stumped on configuration of at least three zone rates I believe I need? I guess when I see one, I'll know what to do.

From what I see, wouldn't I need 3 zone rates (with clones). And of course each of the clones having 4 configurable zones. Yup, stuck on configuring.

First, edit the shipping module:
/includes/modules/shipping/zones.php

and find the code around line 114:

      // CUSTOMIZE THIS SETTING FOR THE NUMBER OF ZONES NEEDED
      $this->num_zones = 3;

and change 3 to 4 ...

Now, you should see 4 Zones in Modules ... Shipping ... when you click on Zone Rates ...

The Zone Rates use the 2 character ISO code to identify the Country ... then the settings for the rates, example:
For the United States:
US
100:3.00,1000:7.00,10000:16.00

For Canada:
CA
100:10.95,1000:12.95,10000:28.00

For China:
CN
100:17.95,1000:29.95,10000:35.00 (or whatever the China Rate is for this)

For the Rest of the World use:
00 (to mean everyone not previously defined)
100:14.95,1000:19.95,10000:35

And that should be everyone ... just adjust as needed for your shipping quotes ...
