Blank home page 155. Admin fine.

Working on a 1.5.1 to 1.5.5 upgrade. Install appeared to be fine until I checked home page -which is blank.
Added new files to subfolder of site. New database, populated with import from old. During install, no errors.
Admin seems fine. Have template set to default.

Searching forum, I have tried the following.
Reload files.
Check configuration file for errors.
Nothing in the /logs folder. Permission is set to 755
Tried adding define('STRICT_ERROR_REPORTING', true); to includes/local/. No errors showed

Additional suggestions?

Htaccess in the folder(s) above? (Primary site and further to the left of the file path.)

Found the error. Missing closing / on path in config file.
Thought I had fixed this. FTP error wasn't showing up before. Edited file from host and working now.

Congrats. Also might have been an issue with the security settings of the file when modifying as it reverts to 444.
