How to change index.php to index.php=2

Hello Forum

I installed zencart on my website, it is on temporary domain yet,

I am desparately in need to make website go directly to categories id=2, I don't need it to open index.php when someone enters my website. As soon as someone opens website I don't want to open homepage but I some other page from categories

How can I do it easily not upsetting spiders?

In your admin, go to Configuration=>Layout Settings

select "Categories - Always Show on Main Page" , and set the value to 1

Actually I partially achieved that,

Main page always open category value should have been 2

but please check, I cannot understand how to remove that space that is occupied by banners
