Requesting an Product Share to Facebook in Admin Area....

wmorris:

Ok, I have installed CSS JS Loader because its require for Facebook Open Graph then When I share a product to Facebook I got NO image when sharing.
Here is a link to an image to see what I am talking about.

http://www.morrisgiftshop.biz/images/fbimage.png

Well, just pulled up that product and I don't see that the Open Graph data has made it to the product... Looking to see if the javascript is loaded or not....

Doesn't look like any of the javascript that should be in the template directory (includes/templates/responsive_sheffield_blue/jscript) added by installation of the previous software is present... At least it is not loaded by the store...

Now, I know there are some "oddities" with loading some of the javascript files in ZC 1.5.5, but if they were loaded there then they should be functional without further ado...

Is there an add-on for social network like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc for the products you can share on the main website?

I thought that I had seen one in the plugins section of this website, but I haven't looked in a while... Many templates offer the possibility to share/etc... But then again FB and the others are constantly changing, so there may be/need to be some updating to be done.

When I get back, I planned on trying to tie in the code provided by the above plugin to straight code that could be applied to the I think it is html_header.php file in the common directory (might be tpl_header.php because I can not recall which addresses the meta tags) so that the same information is presented through that path as would be presented through the proper installation/operation of the two (maybe more) plugins currently installed.

Eeks.

Much better to get rid of CSS/JS Loader AND the FB OpenGraph plugins, and use this instead: https://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1984

You said you were having problems with OpenGraph not showing the proper images. I was telling you why.

So you are saying to git rid of CSS/JS Loader and Facebook OpenGraph and install "Super Data Markup" and Facebook should pull the right image for the product when sharing the link of the product?

Doesn't look like the super-data-markup plugin is installed. None of its output is in the page-source.

DrByte,
I just looked. Every single file is already uploaded. Also I noticed about this:

4a. For HTML5 compatible templates only. For older templates skip to 4b.
Open includes\templates\your_template\common\html_header.php
Find:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" <?php echo HTML_PARAMS; ?>>

Replace with:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" prefix="og: [URL]http://ogp.me/ns#[/URL] fb: http://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml" <?php echo HTML_PARAMS; ?>>

4b. Open includes\templates\your_template\common\html_header.php
Find:

// DEBUG: echo '<!-- I SEE cat: ' . $current_category_id . ' || vs cpath: ' . $cPath . ' || page: ' . $current_page . ' || template: ' . $current_template . ' || main = ' . ($this_is_home_page ? 'YES' : 'NO') . ' -->';
?>
```Add directly after:
<?php require($template->get_template_dir('super_data_head.php',DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'templates'). '/super_data_head.php'); ?>
Before the ending </head> tag.
Right. If you didn't do step 4b then it won't put the necessary code onto the page. You have to do it whether or not you do 4a.
That's because the plugin still isn't firing.
If you look into the content of that super_data_head.php file, you'll see all the stuff that should show up in the HTML of your website when you View Source in the browser. It's all based on those configuration settings being set in the admin, and the template edits being done as described in the readme.
Re: Requesting an Product Share to Facebook in Admin Area....
a) the installation of the plugin files, as per the readme
b) the edits of the html_header.php file, as per the readme
c) configuring the settings for the module, in the admin, as per the readme (and any that aren't described in the readme appear to be described in help-text next to each setting's edit box in the admin)
Once the settings are correctly configured, the logic in the super_data_head file will generate the right image tags to be output.
Well the readme file doesn't give much information and I am totally confuse.
