Need help with attribute offsets vs checkout prices

I created an option called "GO GREEN 10% Discount"
Then went into Attributes Controller, choose an item and put:

Prices and Weights

• (subtraction)
  Price Factor: 0.00
  Offset: -0.10

Hit save, and my product page says: GO green with a checkbox, and the price says 80cents on a $8.00 product, so far so good... but then on checkout... it's not actually subtracting the 80cents from the total?

Please help... THANK YOU!

Update: I set Price Factor to 0.1000
and it successfully ADDED 80cents to the $8 product, but can't seem to subtract yet...
even though the +/- is set to -

Brief look through the code and it appears that you would want to have a positive (or no symbol) at all entries and that the price factor set to 0 with the offset at 0.1 to get a 90% reduction against the price of the item. Is there by chance a sale also applied to the attribute?

Okay I did what you said, and on my product page I see:

Check the box, hit add to cart...

no price change.

Well, I looked some more and there actually is an expectation that the offset "price factor" be a positive value... the offset is then subtracted from that factor, so if you wanted something that is 10% of your total product's price, then a price factor of 1 with an offset of 1.1 should work.

Okay, I tried that... then went to the $8.00 product, and at the bottom it shows:

Please Choose:
GO GREEN SAVE 10% ( +$0.80 )

Check box, Add to cart...

Subtotal shows: $8.80

So I went back and changed the first box plus to a minus... confirmed the rest...

Looked at the product page and see:

Please Choose:
GO GREEN SAVE 10% ( -$0.80 )

Check box, Add to cart...

Subtotal shows: $8.80

Glad it did. What was your final choice of symbols, nothing, + or -?

Also, for clarification to other future readers. The reason that the posts at the bottom of the previous page showed values that didn't work, is because I had originally posted a price factor of 1 with an offset of 0.9, which appears to have been tried before seeing the edit that I made to use an offset of 1.1... sorry for the confusion, but I have a head cold which is playing with my ability to fully think through the issue correctly and I had in mind 1 - 0.9 equals 0.1 which is 10%, but it is a positive 10% not a negative 10%.

For those that don't like to deal with decimals, a price factor of 100 with an offset of 110 would have worked just the same. :)
