Specials display as Save: 15% or Save: £15 depending on what value given at Special

This is the first time that I have had this come up - but I have a client that has different specials

1. 15% off - and you get the £oldprice £newprice Save: 15% off - which works great
   but then they also have
2. £5 off - and you get the £oldprice £newprice Save: 7.2% off - which doesn't look so great

Can that second one ever show Save: £5 off

Ie it would show % or £ depending on what special condition you put in??

I have only found 1 post about this which is showing that you can change whether it shows £ or % sitewide - but sitewide not down to individual items

In 13 years never been asked before but its an interesting one

In a demo install with demo products there is both % off and Sale deduction

I will PM you the credentials so that you can review the settings

Hi Kobra - thank you SO much for taking the time to do that for me - however sadly its this page that is the issue

the first is the $5 off - but on that page still shows as Save 4% and 29% etc

That is where I would like to save Save: $5 - rather than %

So at product level rather than category level if you see what I mean - shame I got all excited then!

Either way - I think it would be a nice addition - however I can imagine its not a simple thing to achieve

It shows

TEST $120 Sale -$5.00
Sale: $115.00

Then also indicates the % off

yes however the $5 off it part of the title and the Sale: $115.00 is the salemaker doing it (which has to be in a category not a individual item - but still shows a % off

so where it says

Starting at: $120.00
Sale: $115.00
Save: 4% off

The SAVE: 4% off is the part they would like to say save: $5 and NOT %

Anything else is just added manually agreed
