Have you corrupted the countries table? It should have a status column. You could just add it back in and set it to 1.
Here's what it should look like:

And line 13 is a comment!!!

i highly doubt line 13 is a comment. it certainly was not a comment at the time of the logging of the error. the file may have changed since then, and if tables are now missing fields, its possible you were hacked... but i'm just guessing.

my bad, it's not a comment, it's my bad.
I've tried to upgrade to 1.55a and updated the database patch to 1.55 Then I tried to restore
so I restored my database from before the update, and I restored all my files, and now I found the correct php file and it indicates that my patch isn't correct. Can I unpatch from 1.55 back to 1.51?

And between a test site and live site, I mixed up passwords and now I'm hosed. So I was hoping to restore, log in with my old password and start fixing things (or breaking them more, however you want to look at it,,,)

Phew, I managed to work through the issues I had by copying my test admin folder to my live store. So I can log in, but I need to update the database server to the 1.55 patch

Can I unpatch from 1.55 back to 1.51?
You should have a backup of your DB as 1.5.1 - just import it using phpmyadmin

still so confused,,, my test admin (coins/admin) works in my live store, but when I attempt to change /coins/ to /store/ in the admin config.php it bombs out and I get a 500 error
I know it's not proper, but at least I can maintain some functionality what to do?

So in the /store/includes/config.php I have

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/coins/');
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/coins/');

where the "coins" needs to be "store"

Are you also moving your full install from a folder named "coins" to a folder named "store"??

This is most likely from an error in your configure.php file(s)

Yeah I found some errors in the config files, but admin was working from the coins folder, so I copied the admin from coins to store and that's when "it" forgot my admin password.
And the password forgotten button doesn't send me a password, but my contact still works.
At this point I'm wondering if I should just do a fresh install, but not sure if I have a good password, because "it" changed my password on my by itself.

what's a teses file?

maybe if I can figure out how to fix this error,,,
