Phone Orders

Another request for core functionality.

It just so happens that some folks rather order or reorder over the phone. It is very helpful to place an order as the customer, starting from the admin and automatically take customer info from the shop. I have the mod Admin_Login_As_Customer installed. It works great for regular accounts but the ones that were created by COWOA don't work. Would be great if COWOA, a one page checkout (or shorter at least) would work with an phone order functionality.

Yes of course, that is fine. I want to see the COWOA account. I don't mind if I have a double account for a customer. One for the regular account with pwd then one created by the COWOA.

It's solved on other cart systems. Can we please do it too? Let customer checkout with guest feature even when they already have a regular account?

Yes, we do that daily. Even if they used COWOA you can use your master password to log in to their account.

Actually, the guest-checkout on, for example, amazon.com and/or ############.com (yeh, I know they're the same) allow you to checkout as a guest using your password-bearing email address.

I don't think that @mydanilo is alone in his/her request.

You can login as customer when it is a COWOA account? Can you confirm this 100%? It does not work for me. Maybe my master password mod does not work correctly then. Going to look into it and check back.

Just double checked the Admin Login as Customer, re-uploaded all files, run SQL one more item. Set the master password to something else. Still can't login as customer if it is a COWOA account. For all regular accounts it works perfectly. It might need a separate thread for troubleshooting this if this is just me but if you can just confirm that this in fact works for you with COWOA accounts.

As to making the mod offer full access to all user information based on an email and a possible random (or brute force) guess of an order number? I'm not sold from a safety/security standpoint. Making the code offer that with a "disclaimer" still doesn't seem right/enough either.

Nope, not working for me. Tried on the front end to login with customer email and password, no go. Not just from admin end. I am on 1.5.4. Wonder what's wrong.

Hard to say, although I am using the encrypted master password mod. Not sure, maybe I did something to make it work with COWOA, it's been many years since I installed them so I don't remember. There might be something in the EMP or COWOA support threads about how to do it. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Just to make sure we are on the same page, I am using the Encrypted Master Password module and from this and the other thread you posted in it seems like you are using an admin login as customer module. So that might be the reason why mine works and yours doesn't.
