Product detail on the product listing

I'm using the responsive classic theme that came with my zencart install and I've added the COWA plugin; besides that it's a very manilla install.
I'm trying to simplify my zencart, my client doesn't use sub categories and honestly the product details page is redundant for us. I tried searching for a plugin or something that would eliminate the product detail page and instead just list all the details in the product listing page. My client embeds some instructional videos with his content and pictures so I can't just expand the number of characters in the admin->Product listing section.
I have found the product listing page in in my template so can I just pull the relevant code from the details page and throw it in there somewhere?
