Clone a Template [Support Thread]

Seems this is having issues in 1.5.6c

Seems its not copying template_info.php

This is a vanilla install zen cart 1.5.6c and ZCA Bootstrap Template only.

No Cindy,

Nothing was actually copied.

I just did this on the responsive_classic and all worked as intended. :shocking:

Was there a /logs/clone_template*.log file generated?

Okay, this is weird.

I just found the clones in the root directory.

What's your /admin/includes/configure.php have its DIR_FS_CATALOG set to?

I just did a new vanilla install 1.5.6c, installed the ZCA Bootstrap Template, same outcome

clone successful on the responsive_classic

Is the default bootstrap template's template_info.php, for some reason, marked as read-only?

Nope,

permission is correct and same as the responsive_classic

So this is where it seems to be getting mis-configured.

Copying from folder /home//public_html/zca-bootstrap/includes/modules/bootstrap/
Creating directory /home//public_html/zca-bootstrap_themeOne/includes/modules/bootstrap_themeOne
Copying /home//public_html/zca-bootstrap/includes/modules/bootstrap/attributes.php to /home//public_html/zca-bootstrap_themeOne/includes/modules/bootstrap_themeOne/attributes.php

it seems to be renaming the directory /home//public_html/zca-bootstrap to /home//public_html/zca-bootstrap_themeOne

I installed the mod and then installed the ZCAbootstrap template.
The clone mod doesnt' see it in the drop down, but I was able to select the template from the template manager and can edit the colors and it displays wonderfully.

No error logs were created. Any thoughts? I did confirm, twice, all files in proper folders.

I even manually recreated the template and template structure with a new template name which I can see in the template manager, but again, it doesn't show in the clone drop down list.

Couldn't track it down. Removed both and re-installed, still didnt work. Re-uploaded the 1.5.7b files, still didn't work.

Reinstalled a fresh install with fresh database, installed ZCA, then installed Clone... only 2 mods installed, the clone mod won't read the ZCA template in order to clone it.

After I did the fresh install, I forgot to goto to the layout controller and allow it to find the new sideboxes ... all is well.

Used to have a sign above my desk...

Problem fixed. Not sure how since I tried several things. However, it seems that clicking on admin>Tools>Layout Boxes Controller somehow did the trick.
