Cannot delete the units in a product displayed on the cart?

I have ticked the box in a product as do not display The product is a virtual one with no shipping.

I have clicked No in the field

Products Quantity Box Shows: No, Do not show Quantity Box

It insists on displaying even though I have set the box to No

Is this not working or have I to enter a product number in any case?

Are trying to not show the available quantity in stock or are trying to prevent allowing someone to purchase more than a set quantity of the item? Or because the title says units, you have set the purchase quantity to allow some form of a partial quantity of the product other than a full amount of 1 item?

I am trying to not show any quantity as the product is not limited to any quantity and I do not want to show a quantity.
Say for example it was a download of a file for example that is not limited to a quantity.

There are two places where that option is provided. Configuration->Product Info (applies to all products) and catalog->Product Types and edit settings.

The option described above changes whether an individual can enter how many of the product they would like to add to the cart and has nothing to do with how many of the product exist in the store.

Thanks for that I can only make it work on the product general not on the free shipping?
