one little advice for zencart

hi
recently,I started used opencart whose default template is responsive and simple.
but in openart, there are always core error at the backend ,such as customer, order, and image folder

I hope zencart also can improve its default template ,at least similar to opencart's default template.

anyway,I still prefer zencart.

What version of ZC are you currently using as ZC 1.5.5 comes with a default responsive template. Now if there are comments to be provided on the template specifically there is a sticky thread specifically about that template.

Re: one little advice for zencart

I have tried the v1.5.5,yes ,its default template is responsible, that is good, but can be better.
1)such as the layout of navi menu and side category.as sellers care layout more than function.
2)allowing developer to upload and sell their plugins will encourage more people to be faster to make zencart better .

just my personal little advice. maybe not right.

  1. Open source, can modify as desired.
  2. There is an entire plugins area where anyone with an account to this website can upload code modifications, plugins, improvements to share with others. For work performed for payment, you and the person performing the work should discuss what is considered acceptable for future distribution and if desired to share with others to ensure that have the information necessary to be able to post the content and setup a thread for the plugin/change.

1)Open source, can modify as desired. yes ,we can modify as desired, but if the default is better,it would attract more people who are not good at modifying.
2)There is an entire plugins area. yes ,there is .but the contributors are not paid by their contributions,so their motivation or passion is not high.

Re: one little advice for zencart

actually,I have tried many open sources, such as
zencart
magento whose forum support is much worse than zencart's.if you encounter a problem, you have to spend much more time to google ,debug.
opencart ,who you can see some basic error in opencart2.2,though at opencart2.3,those errors have disappeared, but I feel there are still some other basic errors.requiring higher version of php,and default template is good, have a good default function like affiliate.
prestashop, whose forum is not as good as zencart's.its layout of home page and category page, and product page are better, and its option or attribute is stronger, able to auto-change the main product picture when click different options ,like color or size.

and so on.
