Re: Google Shopping Free is back

good news for everyone, as they used to be good till they want only cash!

Adwords used to be fantastic till Google became very greedy, to pay £25 to £50 per click, no thanks!

Re: Google Shopping Free is back

Don't sleep on Google Shopping (or Bing).

Free or Not.

I don't really know if this post belongs here (maybe?)

I'm not saying my opinions/strategies works for every body, but here they:

Yes, the paid clicks on Google cost more every year.

You might want to consider raising prices and/or shipping cost to offset the higher cost per click.

You might also want to filter out products on your Google Feed that are aren't profitable enough to sell on a paid search platform, unless you feel that a customer purchasing that product will buy additional items or will come back to your store in the future to make another purchase.

I see a lot of stores in my niche try to keep their product cost low.

This is typically a mistake. Your probably not competing with Amazon or Ebay on prices as much as you think.

Don't assume that all your customers are price shopping.

Lower pricing could be a good strategy if your sales are primarily driven by organic marketing efforts.

If you are using Paid Search as your primary marketing channel, keeping cost low could eventually force your off of Paid Search.

You are only going to convert a limited amount of your visitors.

I've tested free, lower and higher shipping fees as well as varied products pricing.

My experience shows that as I have raised my prices, conversions drop slightly but profits go up.

You need to find your sweet spot on product/shipping pricing. Too low stinks. Too high stinks.

The only KPI that matters is profit.

Who cares how much clicks cost. The focus should be on your rate of return.

Marketing is expensive on Google because works when it's done right.

I don't want to go on to long
