Where: Admin - Order Status notification behavior for an Order Status update

Admin - Order Status notification behavior for an Order Status update (send email/do not send email/hide update) may now be configured by an admin switch.

I assume that means that the pre-selected Notify Customer box can now be set to NO_EMAIL without having to futz with editing files.

Where is a person to find these new features which have been added? I'm too old for Easter Egg hunts :D of new undocumented features.

I looked ADMIN > Localization > Order Status which seemed to be an obvious place to find the switch.

When you're on the Admin > Orders page, there's a help icon (?) in the upper right. Click it.
In the upper right, there's a search box with the text "Search this site". In there, type "Notify Customer"
(the setting you want to change).

It will take you to the help file for the Admin > Configuration > My Store page, which contains the setting for the default value of this field.

The help is heavily indexed and should be easily searchable. If there's a topic you think is missing, report it here on the forum.

OK, so you were looking at the new features list in 1.5.7

and you saw that one of the new features was

Admin - Validation for integer min and max values and email addresses.

What this means is that the screen Admin > Configuration > Minimum Values (and the corresponding Maximum Values screen) validate their inputs instead of blindly accepting them.

WOW... TNX. There's quite a bit of good information once/if a person starts rooting around.

Don't know how I missed that big blue question mark.

It's a brand new feature - it will require some marketing. :)
