Show/Hide disabled products in ADMIN

A show/hide setting (or button/switch/drop down/etc.) for disabled products and/or categories would greatly help to clean up the Admin Category Product Listing pages.

Products we no longer sell have started to clutter up the product listing, and they need to be kept for proper order history, etc.

I am picturing a button, or a drop down right under the Legend for the icons.

you mean something like this:

Say that all these items are remaining in the database for "order history". Playing devil's advocate and to be sure speaking to the right thing, isn't there everything needed about the product in the actual order history such that the product can be removed?

Now I'm not advocating to just willy-nilly go and delete things. I'm suggesting a review/verification that are being kept for the right (and business necessary) reasons.

mc, I agree. It has not been done because I do remember reading in the ZenCart manuals that you should not delete products as to not break functionality, so I never have.

it is something that i did custom for a few clients. not part of any plan on the zc core that i know of.

feel free to PM if you are interested in it. please let me know your version of zc as well. unfortunately it does modify a core file. not the end of the world, but a little more difficult come upgrade time.
