Currencies On/Off Not Showing In Admin-> Layout Settings

Hi,

I am upgrading my site from v.1.5.5 to v.1.5.7 and on my local test site, the currencies option is showing in the header of my website and when I go into Admin-> Config-> Layout Settings there is the option to "Show Currencies in Header" to turn it on or off.

I have now placed the v.1.5.7 site onto my live server under a sub folder and as soon as I place in my old database and update it, I now do not have the currencies displaying in the header on the site and in the Admin->Config->Layout Settings, there is no option to "Show Currencies in the Header"....it does not show.

In my v.1.5.5 cart I had disabled the currencies, and have obviously made some change in the code that is carrying forward. In using Developers Tool Kit to try to find the missing code between the 2 sites, I have been unable to find it. Does anyone know which file(s) to look at that enables the "Show Currencies in the Header" in the Admin->Config->Layout Settings.
