Page Width issue - Main Page only

v1.5.5f php 7.1 westminster new

a few years ago I changed the 'main page' only width to full screen width so that there were no sideboxes or whitespace where sideboxes would be - all other pages have sideboxes, so it is just main page. I sought help in here to do that and now for the life of me I cannot find the thread that gave me the answer - I now want to REVERT to normal wrapper/container widths on the main page so that side boxes can be reinstated and I need some help to do this.

I cannot remember which of the .css files were altered and as much as I have looked at my files I am loathe to change any settings without first getting some advice as to where to look.

site is https://www.cliponearrings.net.au - there are redirects from the main page to /store/ so all navigation is to the 'store'.

any advice will be much appreciated.

Perhaps you used the $flag_disable_left and $flag_disable_right settings in includes/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/tpl_main_page.php ?

You might have gone at it "backwards" as well.

What are your settings for Configuration >> Layout Settings >> Column Left Status - Global and Column Right Status - Global?

the solution was in 'column width' right and left - both had been changed - reverting settings to the default 150px for both fixed it. I did indeed compare those settings against another site - but true to form I'd used a site that also had a full page width (which I didn't realize at the time) instead of a standard site's configuration.

Live and learn! (it is not so much the learning bit I struggle with, it is retention and recollection of the learned things - comes with age I guess)

Best to admit my blunder now than try to hide it - irrespective of my previous post saying that column width was the issue - I was wrong (or not quite as correct as I probably normally am :)), it wasn't - when sideboxes wouldn't show up I looked at the file you suggested and settings were 'true' so changed them to 'false' and bingo - page is now 'normal'.

Sorry for the confusion. (believe me, I confuse easily!)
