Help identifying FAILED AVS during checkout success page
Is there anyway to know on the CHECKOUT SUCCESS page whether or not a credit card AVS response is N (not match) or not?
I know that after the order is processed, the response is stored in the COMMENTS value in the TABLE_ORDERS_STATUS_HISTORY. I'd like to be able to see this value on the Checkout Success page to do some fraud prevention.
Here's why.
In our store, we have some digital products that we grant immediate access to whenever a customer successfully checks out. On the checkout success page, we grant access to these off-site digital files.
But if I am told what variable to look for (on the checkout success page) that would spit out the same comments that are injected into the TABLE_ORDERS_STATUS_HISTORY, then I can use my own function to scan that response for the appropriate AVS code.
Any help to point me in the right direction as to which variable to search for in order to get this string?
For example, somewhere along the way during the checkout success, a string like this is put into the cccccccccccc:
Transaction ID: 4US10222XU484413U
Payment Type: Credit Card (WPP)
Timestamp: 2023-09-17T01:27:59Z
Payment Status: Completed
AVS Code: N
CVV2 Code: M
Amount: 78.41 USD
I'd like to know what variable that might be in so I can grab it during the checkout success page.
