Re: How to override/modify an encapsulated Plugin

I'm not understanding the question, could you provide a few more specifics?

Re: How to override/modify an encapsulated Plugin

Answering my own question

CSS: can be overriden by css in the active template folder

language constants: overrides by the corresponding lang. file in the active template-language folder

observer methods in the Plugin: they are capturing and modifying variables from core file notifiers. Is there any way to replace that method with a custom one, or override it?

Re: How to override/modify an encapsulated Plugin

Note that template-overrides for a zc_plugin's storefront language /extra_definitions require this Zen Cart PR which will be part of v2.1.0: https://github.com/zencart/zencart/pull/6493
