This is the path i am using https://www.MYSITE.com/A/zc_install/index.php

<IfModule mime_module> AddHandler application/x-httpd-ea-php80 .php .php8 .phtml </IfModule>

Re: ZC installation issues.

Did you configure your domain properly?
Usually there is a standard page when creating a new destination folder e.g. "This is a standard page. There's no real content here yet" or similar.
Just to make sure that's running.

Normally you don't need to care of the htaccess before installation.
Did you try to mv it to htaccess_bak?

The domain name already has a version of Zencart running on it and is configured and working well.

What i am trying to do is to set up a new version of zencart in a sub flder 'A' for testing etc.

I think the issue may be with the Htaccess file...

Is there any reason why you don't use a subdomain for this?

Shop Suey:

Is there any reason why you don't use a subdomain for this?

My main site is https://www.XYZ.com and the new zencart installation is meant to be here --> https://www.XYZ.com/A/

I am trying to install the new zencart installation in the A sub folder.

Thanks

Re: ZC installation issues.

Again, if your main site (public_html) is using something less than 8.0 PHP and your host has not set your account to where you can select PHP thru your .htaccess, zc_install will not work and will tell you that you must have 8.0 or higher to run.

The best way to do what you are wanting is with a sub-domain. Especially if you are using cPanel or an equivalent.

https://docs.zen-cart.com/user/installing/subfolder/ and follow the Multiple PHP Versions link for general instructions.

Specific instructions can be found at https://myzencarthost.com/index.php?rp=/knowledgebase/1/Creating-a-Test-Site-with-cPanel.html
