Skip Checkout Page Like PayPal Express Checkout

This is a great payment module, as it gives the customer the option to pay with a credit card, which isn't always guaranteed with PayPal Express Checkout.

Is it possible to have a PayPal button displayed on the shopping cart contents page using this payment module, the same as is available, if you are using the PayPal Express Checkout, to be able to offer the same fast checkout process?

as this makes a much faster checkout process, as the customer can skip the checkout page, and go straight to PayPal to make the payment.

Obviously if you have this payment module enabled, and also the PayPal Express checkout enabled, which I know isn't advised, as this can be confusing for a customer if they don't use the PayPal Express button, from the shopping cart contents pages, and decide to check out with e.g: the one page checkout module, where they would then fill in their billing and shipping details, and would then be presented with two PayPal options at the end; although the Express checkout can easily be hidden on the checkout page, with some custom css, and a slight modification of one of the core files, to hide this, but would still keep the PayPal button and checkout option from the shopping cart contents page.

I've managed to achieve this with some css, and a slight modification of one of the core files, to have the best of the PayPal Express Checkout, using this payment module for a quick checkout from the shopping contents page, but hiding this on the checkout page at the end, whilst leaving this Restful payment module in place, for the final checkout page, for customers who don't check out from the shopping cart contents page, with the PayPal Express button.

Just wanted to see if there is a setting, or another way of achieving this, without modifying core file(s), and adding css? Or whether anyone else has any thoughts on this?

Confused. Talk about "this payment module" and it working like PayPal Express. Are these two posts about PayPal Express or if not what payment module is being compared to PayPal Express.

I ask, because there are typically or have been historical configurations supporting for what you are asking. One or two things though are that for PayPal Express, there are a few additional considerations built in as to whether the customer is allowed to go direct to purchase or not. E.g. as memory serves, offering coupons is a reason for the customer to be offered an interim "stopping" point, and as such to not offer the direct to payment button.

The posts were about the PayPal Restful module.

From what I can see with the PayPal Restful module is that you can't have a PayPal button on the shopping cart contents page, like you can with the PayPal Express checkout.

I like the fact that you can enter card details on the actual checkout with the PayPal Restful module, but it would also be good to be able to checkout fast, like you can with PayPal Express checkout.
