Have been having issues with the store since fresh install but it has been getting better. Until now. I was so sure that I had everything set up for downloads [.zips only] but seems I did not notice that although some of the things are free the ones with prices do not reflect that in the info .

The fields you're pointing to are numeric fields, so I'm not sure where the "too many characters" is coming from. That screenshot is also from the attributes' display, not the individual attribute's entry form.

yup that is what is showing in that area. I got a message from a customer that the item they bought was showing correctly but when he tried to download it, the page said it was not on the server.

It was there. but would not allow the download. I went into the attribute area shown in image and noticed that all items show up as the cost in the name title but everywhere else it said 0.00.

I tried everything I could think of and nothing was working. Then I thought mebbe the permissions were wrong...I set them like someon told me to do so 755 for the dloads directory and the inner ones set to 744 (I think that was it) so set them to 755 also and I think it is behaving now although where image indicates are still saying 0.00, I may be misconstruing what it is supposed to say.

I was so confused but thanks for trying to decipher me text in here. I have the chmods set to 755 and it appears to have helped.

Now to get the posting area of products in admin category area to let me increase the amount of text allowed. It is so frustrating to add my text click to make it so then find out I need to go back (to a blank area cause it deletes it all) and shrink down the amount of words from the get go.
