how to create a new tax zone for USA with flat fee + percentage fee.

Hi,

I'm using Zencart v2.1.0.

I'm trying to set up the taxes for America, shipping from Australia. The taxes are 10%, but there's also a 1.69 AUD flat fee that's charged by the third party group that collects the tariff amount from us. I've created a tax zone for America for 10% but there seems to be no way to add this extra flat fee of $1.69.
Is there any way to do this? Since its only America that requires these extra fees, I can't just add it to all my products.

You could create an order_total module that you restrict to the "America" zone that adds that 1.69 to each order destined to America.

Exactly is a big ask; that's probably best suited to be performed by someone who knows!

If you're not using the COD modules under order total, you could edit & override the language file to say AUD fee blah blah instead & restrict it to US zone.

Thank you pilou2, that looks as if it might work. I'll check it out and will advise if it worked.

I've tried the shipping surcharge and it works well in this scenario. Tariff charge included , from new tax zone set for USA, plus shipping surcharge.
