How to shorten product URL

Hi
I need some advice here. I am trying to shorten my product URL's from this, https://www.MYSITE.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=28&products_id=85, to something a lot shorter.

I am using ZC 1.5.8a with bootstrap template.

Any help would be much appreciated.

No that is not what i am after.

I am sure there is a way of making your URL shorter.

Yes i know that this will shorten any URL... Have used this before. BUT, i want my existing URL - https://www.MYSITE.com/index.php?mai...products_id=85 to be made shorter where it is soething like this.... https://www.MYSITE.com/X/....

as long as you own mysite.com domain you could create your own shortener to shorten URL which have mysite.com in the URL and some suffix of course e.g.

mysite.com/;/&TREFGV(/%

No, i do not own <https://www.mysite.com> that was used as an example

I just need to do some work on the .Htaccess file now and we are good to go.
