Difference between weight and product_weight?

PHP 8.5 and ZC 2.1.0

Is there a difference between products_weight and weight in the order class? They look like they refer to the same value but I noticed in older ZenCart's the value was missing?

The order's weight (orders :: orders_weight) was added to the database in zc156. That might explain the missing data on reconstruction.
