Shipstation issue on 2.2.1 upgrade

2.2.1
php 8.5

Receiving this error log when trying to import orders into shipstation:

[31-Mar-2026 22:24:34 UTC] Request URI: /shipstation_zc.php?SS-UserName=s&SS-Password=S&action=export&start_date=03%2f31%2f2026+06%3a18&end_date=04%2f01%2f2026+15%3a24&page=1, IP address: 35, Language id 1
#0 /shipstation_zc.php(119): zen_debug_error_handler()
--> PHP Warning: Undefined array key "orders_id" in /shipstation_zc.php on line 119.

We are using the shipstation_zc.php from shipstation. We have 2 orders that should be imported into shipstation that are not. Shipstation just reports no orders to import. Tried using the zen cart version of shipstation_zc.php and orders were not imported either.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

Thanks, Randy

Re: Shipstation issue on 2.2.1 upgrade

shipstation_zc.php was written long before PHP 8.5.

You might try replacing

$orders_result = $db->Execute($orders_query);

if ($orders_result->fields['orders_id']) {
    // begin outputting XML with orders
    ...
} else {
    echo "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"utf-16\"?>\n";
    echo "<Orders />\n";
}

with

$orders_result = $db->Execute($orders_query);

if ($orders_result->RecordCount() > 0) {
    //begin outputing XML
    echo "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"utf-8\"?>\n";
    echo "<Orders>\n";
    // ... rest of your order processing loop stays exactly the same

Thanks for the quick reply. It seems we entered orders 3/30 and updated shipstation on 3/31 and shipstation only went to look for orders from 3/31. Placed an order 3/31 and imported fine. I will make that edit you suggested as well.
Thanks, Randy

Yep, it's not so much the 8.5 when the date is wrong. It needs to come up to UTF-8 to match current DB collations.

Re: Shipstation issue on 2.2.1 upgrade

Thanks for the info, we changed the UTF 16 to 8. We found 2 locations that referenced UTF 16 and changed both to 8. This is in the zencart shipstation plug in as well as the shipstation_zc.php downloaded from shipstation. This prevented additional error logs.
Thanks for your help.
