Is this following the best practices for an About page?

Agree we should try to limit duplication, but I have too disagree with the placement of the About Us information on the Docs site. About us is part of the 'sales pitch for using ZC' and should be part of this site. The two sites have different purposes.

This site is like the 'showroom', we want to attract new customers and 'sell' them the idea of owning and operating their own online store. We need enough information here to make a good decision.

To me the Docs site is the owner's self-help service manual. A user can find solutions to problems and instructions for doing it themselves, without interacting with the community via the forums.

I agree with kim.

Plus, there actually IS duplication.
When you open the home page, you have a "Learn More" link which takes you to the proper About Us page.
The link in the footer takes you to the Docs, which I think is a great deterrent for any new user...

As a side note (hopefully no need for a new thread) - the Comparison page hasn't been updated from the demo site and has an invalid link that was there as a placeholder: View Demo Store
