Wordpress On ZC [Support Thread]

Does it means that the WOZ mod conflict with SEO mod, right
Dont see why that statement should be true...
woz works with rss and should work with conor's mod below because specifics
can be set per page

Jerry5763837:

hello, Misty and DivaVocals,

thanks for your further info.

I noted that the successful site is not installed with any SEO mod.

Does it means that the WOZ mod conflict with SEO mod, right?:clap:Never said that.. These are testsites for the purposes of testing the blog embedding.. No SEO because I wasn't testing SEO.. You'll have to setup some testsites of your own to do this specific testing..

Ceon URI Mapping is such a flexible module.. The one site I setup with Ceon URI Mapping, I used it along with the WOZ Sideboxes Only solution and excluded the blog directory from the SEO module.

appreciated for your suggestion. You will have to setup your own test site to see which SEO solution works best with WOZ I'm afraid..

I have only used the WOZ Sideboxes Only solution with Ceon's URI Mapping and so I do not know how it will work with the full WOZ module..

I can say that I have tested the full WOZ module with SSU and could not get it to work at all.. (There is code in the WOZ configure file which does not play nicely with SSU) I spent about a week trying to work it out before ditching SSU atogether..

My experience with SSU in general was that it was easy to setup and difficult to get operational.. Also it lacked a certain level of flexibility that the Ceon module provides. It also appears at this time that SSU is not fully supported by it's author at this time.. On the other hand, IMO the Ceon URI Mapping is a better supported and a much more flexible SEO solution..

Totally agree...any mod by conor(ceon) is excellent plus
he provides support for all his free/purchase creations..

If i get time, will add conor's mod to woz/zencart store..no idea when tho'

Re: Wordpress On ZC [Support Thread]

Hi,

Jerry5763837:

bad news, seems that URI confilcts with WOZ too:no:

Found this via a quick search and thought I'd make a quick comment..

Given the fact that the URI mapping module allows setting of exclusions for particular files and rewrite rules allow setting exclusions for URIs you should be able to get it to work with any other module.

I haven't use WOZ myself but two pages on a site can't share a URI so that cant' be a problem.

URI mapping makes all the GET parameters available so that can't be a problem either.

I know this isn't the most helpful of posts but quite simply I think it must be easy enough to get WOZ to work with a URI mapped site just by modifying a line or two in it to read query string parameters "properly".

Just a suggestion/thought!

All the best..

Conor

Re: Wordpress On ZC [Support Thread]

DivaVocals:

So after a little trial and error I managed to create a "Recent Posts" sidebox for WOZ. Hira's code has always eluded to this sidebox being there. (there were definitions in the language files for a "Recent Posts" sidebox). Seemed logical that this should be one of the included sideboxes.

I have attached the "Recent Posts" sidebox I created in case anyone else finds this useful.

...

Hope someone else finds this WOZ sidebox useful..

 YES, that was exactly what I was looking for.

Well, the "sidebar" modul was displaying "recent posts" (if so configured in wordpress), but just on the starting zen-cart page. Clicking on a wp-link and loading the blog resulted in a empty sidebar without recent posts. So, thank you. Nice. Cool.

Oops, "recent posts" are not "recent comments". Hm, ok, recent post is solved. Thank you again, DivaVocals.

Has anybody the same "recent comments" problem (which do not show up in the sidebar when in the blog)? Is this woz issue or my local problem?

Re: Wordpress On ZC [Support Thread]

OK, please clarify for me -

I am currently using Creon's URI mapping/SEO module.

At this time, is it possible to successfully integrate the WOZ mod without any issues?

Thanks. :)

Hi Conor

If WOZ was a Ceon mod, I am certain that it would behave properly! Is there any way?

Re: Wordpress On ZC [Support Thread]

Hi again,

Was wondering if anyone had time to look into the issues I am still having with individual blog posts and the template not being applied.

Please take a look at the site: https://www.db8zone.com

If you look at the "BLOG" section, you will see that the template is being applied. If you click on any of the individual posts, they do not retain the template. Any clues as to what is going on? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I think you have another issue.

Clicking on PayPal checkout produces this message:

"Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to https://www.db8zone.com.

SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)
The page you are trying to view can not be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

* Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem."

For the Blog issue whats your WOZ Zen WP setup?
