Wordpress On ZC [Support Thread]

Hi,

Just letting you know that I've got 1.5.1 from hira and that I see the code he's added for handling Ceon URI Mapping.

It's a public holiday here for Easter from tomorrow, so I don't think I can get this all sorted until I get back from my holidays on Wednesday but I will get this sorted as soon as possible so that that hopefully Ceon URI Mapping/Advanced Shipper can be handled properly in 1.5.1.

I am having problems with wordpress_on_zencart_v1-5. I have done everything it says to do but it is not coming up on my testing server. I always put it there before uploading to my hosting server. I do not want it in a sidebox but in the header which is the
header_dropdown_menu_css_1-0. If this can not work, how would I do this with EZ pages, This is something my client has asked for.

I have it installed like this http://lightingmadesimple.com/wordpress/

You best bet is to install it according to the instructions and then see if you can get the standard install to work first (use the sidebox). Also, check this thread for the history of caveats in using this mod. Good luck!

I have it installed like this http://lightingmadesimple.com/wordpress/It doesn't appear you have WOZ installed AT ALL.. (or you have it installed incorrectly) Your blog should be integrated as a part of the store content and yours is CLEARLY not integrated at all..

I suggest though starting with the Zen Cart FAQs as there are quite a good ones few covering EZ Pages.

I was finally able to get it to work.

I just installed it the way it should be installed. Pointed to
http://lightingmadesimple.com/wordpress/ and put it in my drop down.

LadydeeHuh?? :huh: How is this an embedded blog??? This looks like a separate blog which IS NOT embedded or even linked via blog content sideboxes.. The ONLY link to the blog is a menu item which takes you to the blogs home page.. If you have installed WOZ (ANY version), it certainly doesn't look like it's installed correctly..

I did not use the embeded. I just attached to link to an item I have in my header by editing the tpl_modules_drop_menu and adding the link to where it is located.

I just set up a new install of ZC 138a and installed the Wordpress on Zencart 1.5 module.

I am getting a blank page when I install the module. After I run the install in the ZC admin, all my public store page go blank. I checked the error log and no errors are showing up. Worpress looks good, Zen cart runs fine when Wordpress in uninstalled.

One thing I noticed in the directions that confuses me is this:
Setting > General > Blog address (URL) change to [Zen-Cart URL].( NOTE: be sure to leave the trailing '/' at the end of URL)

My Wordpress admin will NOT allow a trailing slash '/' on the Blog address (URL). Every time I put a trailing slash '/' and click submit, it comes back with no trailing slash... Does anyone else have this problem?

Any suggestions appreciated. I have installed the old version of Wordpress on Zencart before but having some problems with this one.

Also I noticed that the folder ZC_ROOT/includes/extra_configures is empty in the module's install files. Is there a missing file?

It appears that wordpress just doesn't display the trailing slash on the wordpress admin settings page, kind of odd to me, but apparently not the root of my problem.

I will set up a new clean ZC 1.3.8a and install this module first and see if I can get it running. This current rollup has a few mods but they are all playing nicely together, except for my problem with WOZ 1.5.

I am still a bit unsure of why there is an empty folder 'extra_configures' in the module's files. It is includes/extra_configures and there is just an empty extra_configures folder, no file(s) in it? I have downloaded the mod from Zen Cart add-ons and also from Hira's web site and they both have this empty extra_configures directory.

I also saw the reference to 1.5.1 in a post above. Is there an upgrade somewhere for 1.5.1? I can only find 1.5 in the Zen Cart add-ons and at Hira's site.

As far as I see it you haven't even yet done a test order, but you're adding everything available that's up for grabs

AN e-shop should be simple to use and navigate, unless for example your facebook page has a use, why send them there?

I think the empty folder is meant to show that the file that was in this folder in previous versions of WOZ is no longer needed. Only of interest if your upgrading WOZ.

If the Wordpress dashboard takes you to your Zen Cart store index page when you click "View Site", you have the right setting for Blog URL...

I set up a fresh install of ZC 138a and installed WOZ 1.5 and everything is running fine.

I must have had some issue with a file overwrite from another module. I will be careful as I add the other modules I want in this rollup.

But I use Ultimate SEO URLs in zen cart 1.38a.I set the Wordpress Blog address (URL) into http://www.mysite.com, and the WordPress address (URL) is http://www.mysite.com/blog.

I set the wordpress's Permalink into /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/, But now it can't work anymore, It appears 404 no found in the wordpress.

How do I set the wordpress's Permalink or How do I write the .htaccess to fix this problem?

ok, I admit, I am feeling very silly right now.. I lost the address of the wp plugin i installed last year and never used.

it used to be http://www.prokarateshop.com/? but for some reason that addy redirects to my homepage..

what should the addy be? I place it in my directory.

ok I found the issue, I am using Simple SEO. Its changing the name of the file to an seo type domain.

I will search around to see if anyone else has had this issue
